Nicholas Mynyk is a distinguished pianist, organist, conductor, educator, and founder of elite chamber orchestras. Specializing in historical performance and high-level instruction, he bridges the gap between tradition and modern excellence. Nicholas blends careers as a sacred musician, secular classical performer and high level pedagogue. His blended approach reaches the most intense levels artistic musical expression.
The Visionary Behind the Keys
As a virtuoso keyboard artist, conductor, choral/vocal pedagogue, string specialist and the founder of the Academy of St. Luke’s and St. George’s Chamber Orchestras, I am dedicated to the preservation and evolution of classical performance. My work bridges the gap between historical authenticity and modern mastery, bringing a unique perspective to the keyboard, choral and orchestra repertoire to audiences and students worldwide.
With a career defined by excellence, I have served as a principal performer and educator, specializing in conducting (choral & orchestral), piano, organ, fortepiano and harpsichord. My mission is to cultivate a new generation of musicians who understand the profound connection between the performer and the historical context of the music.

String Direction
Leading string sections and full orchestras through Baroque and Classical repertoires with a focus on distinct articulation and cohesive ensemble sound. His three orchestras of St. Andrew School and Academy of St. George's Chamber Orchestra are recognized for the both the breath and precision.
Choral Programs & Residencies
Nicholas regularly directs the choirs of The Nevil Memorial Church of St. George in Ardmore, PA, festival choruses, chorister festivals and sacred music programs throughout the Tri-State area. His work emphasizes preparing vocal and instrumental ensembles for major choral-orchestral works, fostering collaborations that bridge vocal and instrumental excellence. His work with the A Capella repertoire is exhaustive.
Ensemble Work
Directing university chamber ensembles through immersive lectures on performance practice, emphasizing the unity of the orchestral voice.
Professional Mentoring
Strategic guidance for ensemble directors and advanced soloists aiming for global stages. My roster includes award-winning professionals and scholars who have emerged as leaders in the field. Admission to this mentorship requires a focused audition and interview. Advanced practitioners are invited to submit their credentials for review and potential long-term collaboration. If artist applicant is currently studying with another teacher they must also have a letter of recommendation from their current teacher. I will consult with an applicant's current teacher to ensure this program is appropriate and in now hampers collegial relationships.
